Now an independent consultant, Allan is a seasoned professional with 20 years of “top flight” experience at Accenture where he was a partner in the strategic IT effectiveness practice. Allan’s track record is in working at board level to shape the IT strategic agenda and then in the successful delivery of large-scale transformation initiatives. He combines a strategic mindset and proven delivery skills with a pragmatic approach. Working across multiple industries Allan has delivered lasting improvements in IT, business capability and bottom-line performance.

His key experience includes:

• programme management and delivery of large-scale IT and business transformation programmes

• establishment of global operating models and the creation of shared services (IT, Finance, HR, Procurement) from design through transition to successful implementation

• driving alignment between shared services and the business by implementing best-practice governance and business relationship management processes

• transformation of IT finance capabilities, redefining processes and the operating model to deliver cost and service transparency and improve service levels to internal and business customers

• client-side management of IT outsourcing and supplier selection initiatives

• optimisation of the business investment portfolio to improve alignment with strategic priorities and ROI.
